WHAT IS PACIFICANS CARE?

Pacificans Care is a community based non-profit organization with 501c(3) status based in Pacifica, California. We raise funds locally to provide grants to social service organizations in our community. We dispense our funds prudently and incur minimal expenses so that the funds raised are passed on to our recipient organizations.

SERVICES WE SUPPORT

Currently, Pacificans Care provides annual grants for support to Child Care and Senior Services in the City of Pacifica; The Pacifica Resource Center, A Project of the Tides Center; and the Pacifica Youth Services Bureau, an affiliate of the YMCA.

We also have a Minigrant Program. We have allocated monies to fund small (up to $1000) grants for small social service projects to benefit the community.

In addition to providing grants, we assist in other ways. We have served as fiscal agent for “Project Play” to enable the construction of the wonderful playground at Frontierland Park, for the purchase of infrared “firecams” for our local fire department, for the Skatepark at the Community Center, and for the Pacifica Realtors Community Service Group.

OUR MISSION

Our main goal is to help keep Pacifica a community that cares by supplementing and complementing existing social services. We know that each social service organization has to weave together an assortment of funding sources to serve and survive, and we are proud to be a part of that web.
